Lexi Belculfine serves as a senior director at the University of Pittsburgh, creating a process to catalog, count, and tell stories about Pitt's Public Impact — how the University contributes beyond its campuses to the well-being of communities.
Belculfine joined the University in 2021 to work in University Communications and Marketing directing University publications Pittwire and Pitt Magazine before joining External Relations in 2025 to help launch the Public Impact portfolio.
Prior to that, Belculfine, a life-long Pennsylvanian, worked as a journalist and editor at the Philadelphia Inquirer, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, local news start-up The Incline, and Penn State’s student-run newspaper, The Daily Collegian.
She earned her Executive MBA at the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in journalism at Penn State.
