Rachel Bukowitz

Rachel Bukowitz is a proud graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and is thrilled to be returning to the University to serve as head of public impact strategy and communications. She brings five years of experience leading impact-focused strategy, reporting, and communications work and over a decade of participating in community-based work in Pittsburgh.

Bukowitz most recently worked as a senior manager at 3R Sustainability, a Pittsburgh-based consulting firm. At 3R, she led the company’s reporting services, supporting clients with data management and reporting to enable strategic decision-making. Prior to 3R, Bukowitz earned a graduate degree in public policy and management at Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College. She also completed two food justice-focused service year fellowships with the Pittsburgh and Atlanta branches of the nonprofit organization Repair the World.

Bukowitz loves to stay active in the Pittsburgh community through volunteering, which has included serving on the board of directors of Communitopia, a youth climate action organization.
